Newborn Hearing

We tailored this section specifically to help you plan for the future health of your child using information we've gained over the last 25 years of caring for newborns.

Early detection of hearing loss provides a unique opportunity for newborns to receive early intervention that may dramatically increase their quality of life.  Early detection and diagnosis of hearing loss, timely intervention, and follow-up care before six months of age has shown to be highly effective in facilitating the development of a newborn's communication and cognitive skills.

If your baby is diagnosed with hearing loss, you can find more information regarding SoundGeneTM, a screening panel for the most common causes of hearing loss.
